AXE DEO ad

The new Axe Dark temptation deodorant ad, which is being telecasted on TV channels nowadays is quite outrageous. A guy turns into a chocolate boy when he sprays an Axe deo. He is then eaten by a series of girls. The ad looks unreal and very artificial. Also, the so called ‘chocolate boy’ does not have any expressions as such. Women having bites of him is something very disgusting. Women love chocolates, so they would find men who smell like chocolate as irresistible is what the ad says… Has anyone ever smelled of chocolate??? The thought seems to be weired. I think the ad would have been better without the chocolate boy. The ad has been exaggerated because the theme used is suggestive rather than appealing.
The Axe Dark temptation deodorant ad attempts to show the seductive effects of this fresh, masculine fragrance. However, the ad seems to have come under the axe of the Information and Broadcasting (I&B) ministry itself. Being a product of Unilever it has a wide range of products for men and had some good ads been made in the past. The content and theme has been found "indecent, vulgar and repulsive" by the I&B ministry which has asked the Indian Broadcasters Federation (IBF) not to telecast it. The ad is a very bad campaigning of the product. Even though as the ad claims that women love chocolates but who would have it in such a manner????
